Beyond Labels: Personalized Care for Your Athletic Goals
While the list below includes common sports injuries, every athlete is unique. I understand that a label doesn't tell the whole story. That's why I take a personalized approach to treatment, focusing on understanding your individual needs, capabilities, and goals.
Common Sports Injuries Treated:
Spine: Back pain, whiplash, headaches, concussions, muscular strains, ligament sprains, herniated discs, spondylosis, stenosis, fractures, osteoarthritis, degenerative changes, scoliosis, post-operative procedures
Upper Body: Shoulder pain, rotator cuff injuries, labral tears, frozen shoulder, instability/dislocations, AC joint injuries, tendinopathy, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoarthritis
Lower Body: Hip pain, FAI (femoroacetabular impingement), tendinopathy, groin pain, labral tears, muscle strains, hip replacements, knee replacements, ligament injuries (ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL), meniscus injuries, patellofemoral pain, Achilles tendonitis, ankle sprains, fractures, osteoarthritis
Beyond Injury Treatment
In addition to addressing injuries, I can also help you:
Improve movement efficiency and prevent future injuries
Enhance goaltending performance through movement analysis and targeted exercises
Develop a personalized training program to optimize your on-ice performance
By combining my knowledge of physical therapy with my understanding of hockey goaltending, I can create a comprehensive approach to help you achieve your athletic goals.
My practice is considered an out-of-network and cash-based provider. This allows me to offer private evaluations and treatments that otherwise would be controlled by insurance reimbursement requirements.
Insurance companies often limit particular treatments and or limit the amount of time a physical therapist can work with a client.
Michigan is a direct access state, which means that a client can see me for rehabilitation over a period of 10 visits or 21 days before needing to be referred back to the client’s physician for continued care.
I can offer unlimited visits for health and wellness physical therapy.
